Volakas Haemus marble is extracted from our privately owned quarry (Kar Mar Quarries SA) located in the world-renowned marble bearing area of Volakas, in Northern Greece.

Extraction activity started in 2012 and since then, its production capacity almost doubled, reaching 30,000 tonnes in 2018 (from 15,400 tonnes), with the potential to reach 42,000 tonnes in blocks.

The quarry produces two types of white marble: Volakas Haemus and Electron.
